Taste: Butterscotch and herbs subtle chocolate and pine. As the coffee cools, it changes to a slight fruit flavor with bergamot. Very interesting!
 
Important! Allow these beans sit for a day or two after you receive them. This is a coffee where time is on it's side. The flavor ramps up dramatically around 72 hours after we roast.
 
Notes:
Yemen is the first county to grow coffee outside of Ethopia (the origin of coffee). The climate conditions are somewhat extreme for coffee growing, however the unique characteristics in this coffee truely reflect those conditions. The Sharas region is so steep, the farmers have made stone terraces to cultivate coffee. Flat level land is scarce and most farmers dry the coffee beans on the roofs of their homes!
